LPDC Die

Low-Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) is the process of choice for producing high-integrity, pressure-tight aluminum castings — particularly alloy wheels, cylinder heads, and structural automotive components where porosity must be minimized and mechanical properties must be maximized. Vyankatesh Engineering LPDC Dies are designed from the outset with directional solidification in mind: thermal management, gating geometry, and insert positioning are all engineered to produce dense, defect-free castings consistently over the die's service life.

Applications

  • Aluminum alloy wheel and rim manufacturing
  • Automotive cylinder heads and engine mounts
  • Structural chassis and suspension components
  • Pressure-tight housings for hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • High-integrity parts where X-ray or pressure testing is specified

Key Advantages

LPDC-specific design approach produces castings with better internal quality than GDC alternatives

Correct directional solidification reduces porosity, shrinkage, and scrap rates

Precision-ground parting line eliminates flash and reduces post-processing

Experienced team provides design input on gating and thermal management before manufacture begins

Quality Assurance

100% Inspection Before Dispatch

Full assembly inspection including parting line blue matching, insert register fit check, and cooling circuit pressure test before dispatch.
