What Are Casting Accessories?
Shot sleeves are the metal containment cylinder in cold-chamber HPDC machines through which the shot plunger injects molten metal. Sprue bushes form the metal entry point in GDC and LPDC dies, connecting the pouring basin to the runner system. Diffusers are precision-fitted to the sprue bush to distribute incoming metal. Side core holders mount and align side cores (slides) in complex dies with undercut features.
