Special Inserts from Vyankatesh Engineering are application-specific, PVD-coated die inserts designed for the most demanding cavity features in high-pressure die casting (HPDC). Featuring forked prongs, stepped blocks, circular bases with knurled textures and intricate undercut profiles, these inserts form complex casting details that standard profile inserts cannot produce. Manufactured from premium AISI H-13 / DIN 1.2344 tool steel, vacuum hardened to 44–48 HRC and PVD-coated (TiN/TiAlN) for exceptional surface hardness and anti-soldering performance, each Special Insert is precision-machined and 100% inspected to deliver consistent, long-life performance in high-volume production.
